Congratulations to the 5th grade Lego Rocket Robotics for winning the spring competition in Richmond last night! They walked away with an engineering award for their robot and took the highest award of the night, the Champions Award, for their teamwork, innovation project, engineering, and design of their robot.

Congratulations to Kaylee and Nathanial for representing New Haven High School at the Macomb County All-Academic Awards Banquet, where the top 100 students in the county were honored. Great job!

Entrepreneurship students are focusing on the next chapter in life. Students had 20 job descriptions and 10 different cover letters. They had to match the job description to the cover letter based on correct formatting and pertinent valuable information.

Huge congratulations to Lillian M., a senior at New Haven High School, for taking 1st place in the 2025 “Knocking Violence Out of My School” video competition!
Lillian was honored by Macomb County Prosecutor Peter J. Lucido for her powerful and creative video addressing school violence, bullying, and safety. She earned a $1,000 prize and shared her inspiration during a special meet-and-greet with the Prosecutor himself.
Lillian plans to attend Wayne State University in the Honors Program to study Chemical Engineering. We’re so proud of you, Lillian — keep knocking it out of the park!

Congratulations to Tori Hibbert, New Haven Community Schools’ Teacher of the Year!
Mrs. Hibbert was honored this week at the Macomb County Outstanding Teachers of the Year Awards Celebration for her incredible dedication and impact. She teaches 9th and 11th grade English, leads a popular Science Fiction Literature class, and goes above and beyond by guiding our Student Council and running the drama program.
Thank you, Ms. Hibbert, for inspiring our students every day . We are so proud to have you on the Rocket team!
