Endeavour Tech Titans and Jr. Titans robotics teams along with a group of students from the STEM classes participated in an ambassadorship program to promote robotics and STEM education to 4th & 5th graders. The elementary students created aluminum boats and tested them for buoyancy, sumo wrestling and a drag race with Sphero robots, they got to fly drones and heard about all the exciting programs Endeavour has for robotics and our STEM classes.

Congratulations to Heather Rogers for being named New Haven's Teacher of the Year!

On Tuesday, February 13th, Student Council members did some community outreach at Sandalwood Valley Senior Center! Students distributed handmade Valentine's and chocolate chip cookies to the residents. Our students learned about the residents by spending quality time with them. The residents were very happy to have some company, and our students were so excited to share the love this Valentine's season!

We are short staffed for tomorrow. Parents will have to drive their child if they are on Ms Colleen's bus (route I). You can email Steve Bruen if you are not sure what route your child is on. Email him at asbruen@newhaven.misd.net

The students in Endeavour's STEM class are actively engaged in hands-on experiences as they collaborate to build a robot.

NHCS will be in session for tomorrow. Although the backroads have been plowed and salted, there are still some slick areas. Tomorrow morning they are also predicting dense fog, so buses may be a little late. Please be patient. Getting our students safely to and from school is our number one priority!

We have gone back out to inspect the backroads of our district. Due to the icy conditions of many of these roads, NHCS district will be closed for Wednesday, January 24th. SACC and Childcare will also be closed.

As of right now, NHCS will be open for Wednesday, January 24th. HOWEVER, we are closely monitoring our back roads for the remainder of the evening and into the morning. PLEASE have a plan B ready, if we end up having to close in the morning. We We will know by 6:00 am if we are closing or able to stay open.

The NHCS will be closed for January 17th. The temperature is expected to drop overnight again, with winds returning causing morning temperatures to be anywhere from -15 to -20 degrees. SACC and childcare will be closed tomorrow as well. Any evening events scheduled for tomorrow will STILL BE TAKING PLACE.

For the month of January, students will be learning about the importance of being KIND!
