As part of studying how architecture affects the Deaf, ASL 3 & 4 students evaluated NHHS for Deaf-friendly aspects. They then selected and created dioramas of some places in the building to showcase changes that could be made to make them more Deaf-friendly, from soundproofing to reduce vibrations and reverberations, to visibility in the room and colors on the walls and floor, to adding lights to indicate audio announcements and captioning on the scrolling announcements.
