The New Haven Student Council recently traveled to Grand Rapids to attend the Michigan Association of Student Councils and Honor Societies State Leadership Conference. While there, they collaborated with student leaders from across Michigan, participated in engaging workshops, and exchanged ideas to strengthen their school community.

During the conference, they were honored with an award for an “Exceptional Service Project,” recognizing their dedication, organization, and meaningful impact through service initiatives. This achievement reflects the council’s strong commitment to leadership, service, and making a positive difference at New Haven.

CTE Month in Action!

Angelo L., Peter T., Brayden C., and Walter S. had an incredible job shadow at Plante Moran in Clinton Township.

Huge thank you to Partner Dana Coomes and Abby Spickard for showing them what professionalism and high-level business looks like in the real world.

This is CTE, learning beyond the classroom and preparing future leaders.

AP Biology students are learning about genetics and how genes are expressed in our bodies. Students were able to prick their fingers and test their blood for the presence of antigens, carbohydrates and proteins on the surface of our cell that determines our blood type. Blood typing is an important skill for students interested in nursing, lab science, or emergency care.
