This week, NHHS Medical Careers hosted its second Blood Drive of the school year, impacting 117 lives. We had a fantastic group of students who played a crucial role in running the drive. The collected 39 units bring our total to 69 units, saving a total of 207 lives between the two drives so far. As we eagerly anticipate our third drive on Tuesday, April 2, 2024, we aim to surpass our annual goal.

Congratulations to our three Macomb Career Technical Education award winners.

NHHS HOSA competed in regionals Saturday January 20th, at Fraser High School. Competition was fierce with all of Macomb and St. Clair County as our Region. We had over 700 competitors in the 56 different events. New Haven had a great day and represented our school very well. We took 13 competitors and had 8 qualify for state competition, with three students scoring in the top three. To qualify for states, competitors had to be one of the top seven in their event.

NHCS will be in session for tomorrow. Although the backroads have been plowed and salted, there are still some slick areas. Tomorrow morning they are also predicting dense fog, so buses may be a little late. Please be patient. Getting our students safely to and from school is our number one priority!

Congratulations to our 2023/2024 BPA students. Amazing job at regionals. We look forward to seeing how everyone does at states!

We have gone back out to inspect the backroads of our district. Due to the icy conditions of many of these roads, NHCS district will be closed for Wednesday, January 24th. SACC and Childcare will also be closed.

As of right now, NHCS will be open for Wednesday, January 24th. HOWEVER, we are closely monitoring our back roads for the remainder of the evening and into the morning. PLEASE have a plan B ready, if we end up having to close in the morning. We We will know by 6:00 am if we are closing or able to stay open.

The New Haven High School Rocket Robotics team is looking for mentors to help build and code their robot. If you are good with tools, computers and small machinery, we need your help!
