Congratulations to Dylan S. on an incredible accomplishment! Through hard work, dedication, and taking advantage of dual enrollment opportunities both through high school and independently, Dylan earned his Associate’s Degree in General Studies from Macomb Community College before even receiving his high school diploma.
Dylan earned 60 college credits, all of which will transfer to Michigan Technological University, where he plans to complete his Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Networking in just two years. He was also awarded the Distinguished Leading Scholars Award to help offset college costs. In recognition of his achievements, Dylan was even selected to serve as a commencement speaker at the ceremony.
We are proud of Dylan for showing what is possible through determination, planning, and making the most of every opportunity available at New Haven High School!

Think you can solve a murder mystery without laughing so hard you miss the clues? We challenge you to attend our school play, How to Get Away with a Murder Mystery. This show is packed with outrageous characters, suspicious alibis, dramatic plot twists, and enough comedy to keep you laughing from beginning to end. The real mystery might be how our cast manages to keep a straight face through it all. Bring your friends, test your detective skills, and see if you can figure out “who did it” before the final reveal. We dare you to make it through the night without laughing, smiling, or accusing the person next to you of the crime. Tickets are only $5 at the door, but if you bring a friend, we’ll let both of you in for the shocking two-for-two deal of… $10 total. Even our suspects couldn’t come up with a better bargain than that.

Proud moment for New Haven DECA.
Students Max D., Corey R., Ian M., and Brayden C., led by advisor Mrs. M, represented our district at the International Career Development Conference in Atlanta, competing, learning, and networking among the top 35,000 students in the world.
In just its second year, our DECA chapter has reached the international stage, an impressive achievement that speaks to the dedication and drive of these students. The skills, knowledge, and real-world experience gained position them at a distinctly advanced level, well beyond their peers, as they move forward in their academic and professional journeys.
CTE and CTSO programs continue to elevate student success at NHHS, providing opportunity, purpose, and a true competitive edge.

Our ninth grade US History students recently took a field trip to the Zekelman Holocaust Center. Students explored the museum’s exhibits, deepening their understanding of the Holocaust and its lasting impact on the world. They also had the unique opportunity to hear from a Next Generation speaker (daughter of a Holocaust survivor) who shared a personal family story that brought the history to life in an unforgettable way.

Over the weekend, Jaden L., Max W., and Lucas T. competed at the SkillsUSA State Competition in Grand Rapids.
Lucas T. and Max W. participated in the Automotive Electrical competition, where they had an impressive showing. As the only sophomores among the top 12 finalists in the state, they advanced to the finals but just missed the podium.
Jaden L. competed in the Automotive Masters competition after earning a first-place finish in the 2E Region. He went on to place third in the state, earning a bronze medal and achieving New Haven’s highest-ever finish at SkillsUSA. Notably, only 24 students statewide qualify to compete in the Masters division.
