Closing CTE Month Strong: Where Discipline Meets Opportunity
Mrs. M's Advanced Business Management students at New Haven High School had the privilege of welcoming entrepreneur and business leader Mark Kattula as a guest speaker to discuss discipline, the real journey of success, and why failure is not the opposite of success, but a requirement for it.
Students gained powerful insight into what it truly takes to build something meaningful: consistency when no one is watching, resilience when things don’t go as planned, and the discipline to keep showing up even after setbacks. Mark shared stories reinforcing that growth is built through challenges, not comfort.
Experiences like this connect our students with real-world leaders who model grit and perseverance, preparing them to lead with confidence and purpose.

Through CTE and CTSO involvement, Brayden has strengthened his:
Leadership & public speaking
Strategic problem-solving
Professional communication

Running for state office has stretched him in the best way — building confidence, resilience, and vision for his future.
Next week, Brayden will compete at the DECA State Career Development Conference in Detroit against over 6,000 students across Michigan.
We are incredibly proud of his growth and leadership.
Good luck, Brayden! The Rockets are behind you!
