Stepping into the vibrant world of graphic design is not just about mastering the technology provided, but it’s also a canvas for students to unleash their inner artists! Congratulations to Sandra L. and Penelope D, whose vector self-portraits created in Adobe Illustrator were accepted into the Anton Art Center's Student Show. Their work will be on display at the Anton Art Center in Mount Clemens from March 9 to April 13.

NHHS Student Council students attended the State Leadership conference this past weekend. We were one of 96 schools represented at the conference from around the state of Michigan.

As part of studying how architecture affects the Deaf, ASL 3 & 4 students evaluated NHHS for Deaf-friendly aspects. They then selected and created dioramas of some places in the building to showcase changes that could be made to make them more Deaf-friendly, from soundproofing to reduce vibrations and reverberations, to visibility in the room and colors on the walls and floor, to adding lights to indicate audio announcements and captioning on the scrolling announcements.

Congrats to Aubrie C. for making the top 7 girls at the MSHAA Girls Singles Regional event. She bowled 1,039 total pin fall over 6 games, with a 203 game high. Aubrie will be bowling at the 2024 MSHAA State Finals in Muskegon, MI.

Congratulations to NHHS's SkillsUSA automotive team for their impressive performance at the regional event at Macomb Community College! Special kudos to Jeff H. for securing a remarkable third place overall in the Master Mechanics Competition, earning him a well-deserved spot at the state level.

New Haven High School is celebrating Career & Technical Education month.

Congratulations to Dario H. and Anthony T. for their outstanding achievements in the field of Career and Technical Education! Their hard work has been recognized with a well-deserved $500 scholarship each, generously awarded by Anthony Lombardo and Greg Windingland of Lombardo Homes.

Congratulations to Carter P. and Ryan G. on their outstanding achievements and for qualifying for states! Ryan's 2nd-place finish and Carter's 4th-place finish are impressive accomplishments. We will be cheering them on March 1st and 2nd at Ford Field.



New Haven High School students had the incredible opportunity to experience the enchanting performance of 'Wicked' at the Detroit Opera House. Thank you Mr. and Mrs. Hibbert for putting this spectacular evening together.


A group of high schoolers and eighth graders had the privilege of attending the Macomb Student Diversity Summit at the MISD. The focus of the summit was “Voices Amplified: The Power of Your Voice.” Our students learned a lot and enjoyed the experience.
