NHHS Celebrating CTE Month!

Dear New Haven Families,
This is a friendly reminder that Count Day is tomorrow, February 12th! Your child’s attendance on this day is essential, as it directly impacts the funding and resources our school receives to support student learning.
Please make every effort to ensure your child is present and on time. If your child must be absent due to illness or another unavoidable reason, please notify the school as soon as possible.
Thank you for your continued support in making every school day count!
Sincerely,
Cheryl Puzdrakiewicz
Superintendent
New Haven Community Schools
GO ROCKETS!
NHCS athletic schedule for the week of 2/9/25.

Due to heating issues at New Haven Elementary, the district will be closed on Monday, February 10th. Since NHE’s closure would prevent the district from meeting the required 75% attendance threshold, the day would not count as an official school day. We expect school to resume on Tuesday, Feb 11th.
The Snowcoming dance has been canceled, and the Homecoming Court will not be presented at tonight’s basketball game. However, the King and Queen were crowned during our pep assembly this afternoon! Thank you for your understanding and support.
Congratulations to Penelope and Gabby for being selected to represent New Haven High School at the Macomb County CTE Awards Celebration! Great job!
A special thank you to Mr. Mason and Mr. West from My Locker in Detroit for their continued support and advocacy for our students. Your commitment makes a difference!

Due to the icy road conditions of our side streets and back roads, New Haven Community Schools will be closed for February 6th, 2025. This includes SACC and Childcare.
Interested in coaching track? Check out the flyer for details.

Students and teachers ventured to MJR for the showing of the book turned movie “New Moon.” After the movie the typical debate ensued…team Jacob or team Edward. Requests were made for another unofficial field trip to see “Breaking Dawn” in March.

Celebrate CTE Month!
Career and Technical Education Month is a public awareness campaign, that takes place each February to celebrate CTE, the accomplishments of CTE programs and the importance of CTE for all students of all ages.
